The Story Begins
Founded in 1946, Herr Foods is a family-owned snack food manufacturer, made famous by our signature Herr’s potato chip. Our full line of quality snacks currently includes more than 340 varieties of potato chips, pretzels, tortilla chips, cheese curls, popcorn, baked crisps, snack friez, nuts, pork rinds, onion rings, and meat snacks.
Our headquarters in Nottingham, Pennsylvania has 380,000 square feet of production capacity, 30,000 square feet of administrative office space, and a 15,000 square foot Visitors' Center. Adjacent to the headquareters site is the Herr Angus Farm where we raise 500 head of cattle. We also operate a second, smaller production facility in Chillicothe, Ohio.
